The Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN) – Pre-service at Amref International University (AMIU) is a comprehensive three-year, full-time residential programme designed for high school graduates aspiring to become professional nurses. Delivered through face-to-face instruction, the curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with practical clinical experience, focusing on areas such as medical-surgical nursing, maternal and child health, community health, mental health, and pharmacology. The programme emphasizes evidence-based practice and cultural competence, preparing graduates to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse healthcare settings. Intakes occur in April and August, and both resident and day scholars are welcome.

An individual entering this course should have any of the following minimum requirements:
a) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- (minus),
b) Community Health Certificate Level 5
c) Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
OR
d) Any other International qualifications should get approval from the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
Mode of Delivery: Face-to-face (resident).
