Course Overview

The Social Work course equips students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical values required to support individuals, families, groups and communities in addressing social challenges and improving their quality of life. The programme provides training in areas such as counseling, community development, child protection, psychosocial support, case management and resource mobilization.

Through conceptual learning and practical experience, students gain the ability to assess social problems, design effective intervention strategies, mobilize community resources and advocate for the rights and welfare of vulnerable and marginalized populations. Entry Requirements

An individual entering this course should have any of the following minimum requirements: 

a) Kenya Certificate of secondary education KCSE C- (minus)

Or 

b) Certificate in Social Work level 5 or related course

Or 

c) Equivalent qualifications asdeterminedby TVETA 

d) Any other International qualifications should get approval from the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
