The\u00a0<\/span>programme<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>purpose<\/span>\u00a0is t<\/span>o produce a Pharmaceutical Technologist who will<\/span>\u00a0e<\/span>nsure personal responsibility for learning, development and a foundation for subsequent continuing professional development<\/span>, e<\/span>ffectively communicate with patients, peers and other healthcare professionals<\/span>, a<\/span>pply problem-solving and critical thinking skills in their professional practice<\/span>, u<\/span>phold legal, professional and ethical standards<\/span>, participate in health research,<\/span>\u00a0and p<\/span>rovide\u00a0<\/span>p<\/span>harmaceutical\u00a0<\/span>c<\/span>are to patients<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Applicants for this course should satisfy the following\u00a0minimum\u00a0requirements: –<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

<\/b>Must have passed Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of\u00a0<\/span>C (Plain<\/span><\/b>) or its equivalent as equated by KNEC.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

<\/b>Must have scored a minimum of C (Plain) in the following four Cluster subjects:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

i. English or Kiswahili.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

ii. <\/span>Chemistry or Physical Science.\u00a0<\/p>

iii. Biology or Biological Science.\u00a0<\/span> Mathematics or Physics.<\/p>

Any other international qualifications to get approval from the KNQA (Kenya National Qualification Authority).<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Duration –\u00a0<\/span><\/b>This is a non-modular full-time\u00a0programme\u00a0designed to have a minimum duration of 2,541 hours (Three academic years) plus six (6) months of practical attachment.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
